Dan Perjovschi
Artist, based in Bucharest (Romania) and works around the world
I was participated in the “Aichi Triennale 2013”, an international arts festival, which raised the subjects facing the disaster of 3.11 and various senses of crisis around the world. I came to Japan for the first time and created new drawings for the Triennale. When the country and society where you grew up has radically changed, each one of us would have to think about the history and new future by your own. I hope that the children will get opportunity of studying and learning wisdom to draw the future with their own hands.

震災や世界のさまざまな危機感と向き合うテーマをかかげた国際芸術祭「あいちトリエンナーレ2013」に参加、初めて来日し新作を発表しました。これまで暮らしていた自分の国や社会が大きく変化したとき、私たちはひとりひとり、自分たちの歴史と新しい未来を自分で考えなければなりません。子どもたちがそのための学びや知恵、そして自由を獲得し、未来を自分の手で描けるようになることを願っています。
